Self-serve LED / Largs Bay
LED Glow Lounge
Twenty quiet minutes of LED light therapy, on its own or as part of your wider skin plan.
Consider LED light therapy if you
- Would like a relaxing, non-invasive addition to your skin plan
- Have breakout-prone or easily reddened skin
- Want to support your skin between other treatments
- Prefer a session you can book on its own
In summary
LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the skin. It is non-invasive, involves no heat, and most people return to their day straight after a session. Different wavelengths may help support different skin goals, from breakout-prone skin to recovery between other treatments. Each 30-minute appointment includes 20 minutes under the light in our self-serve Glow Lounge at Largs Bay, with time either side to settle in. Individual results vary.
The treatment
What is LED light therapy?
LED light therapy uses light-emitting diodes to deliver specific wavelengths of light to the skin. Each wavelength reaches a different depth and is chosen to suit a different skin goal.
Our Glow Lounge uses the MediLUX LED system, and you can choose a different wavelength at each visit.
In clinic
Professional LED and at-home devices
At-home LED masks have become popular, and many people use one between clinic visits. The MediLUX is a professional system built for clinic use, so a session in the Glow Lounge works a little differently.
Five wavelengths in one system
Blue through to near infrared light from a single panel, so there is no need to move between devices.
Measured light output
Each wavelength is delivered at a set output, with the panel positioned at a consistent distance from your skin for every session.
Set up by our team
Book the Introduction session for your first visit. Our team shows you how the Glow Lounge works, helps you choose a wavelength and positions the panel for you.
A quiet private room
Sessions are self-serve in our Glow Lounge, a calm private space where you can lie back and rest.
If you already use an LED mask at home, let our team know so we can factor it into your plan.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What does an LED session feel like?
Most people find it relaxing. LED involves no heat or needles, and you lie back for the session. Protective eyewear is provided, and with near infrared light you can keep your eyes closed instead.
How often should I have LED?
It depends on your skin and goals. LED works best as a regular part of an ongoing plan, which is why our packages allow more frequent sessions. Our team can help you plan your visits.
Is LED suitable for everyone?
LED may not be suitable if you are sensitive to light, are taking medication that increases light sensitivity, or have a history of light-triggered seizures. Please let us know about any medical conditions or medications before your first session.
Is there any downtime?
There is usually no downtime. You can apply makeup and skincare as usual afterwards.
